Our Mission
All human activities are directly or indirectly linked to a modification of the environment - willingly or not !Greater visibility and understanding about sustainable practices relating to agriculture, energy and the environment, as well as consciousness about their interrelations drives our mission to provide an incentive for the creation of a sustainable BioEconomy in communion with nature.
Our Objective
Agro-Tropics-Linkages (ATroLink) strives to bridge the gaps in knowledge and practice between thedeveloped countries and the developing Tropics by mutual exchange.
ATroLink is, therefore, planning to achieve:
- Effective and productive smallholder agricultural systems based on sustainable agricultural practices (permaculture) and the effective utilization of neglected biomass resources with Integrated Food and Energy Systems (IFES) for self-sustainable livelihoods within an international Bioeconomy.
- A mutual exchange of knowledge, skills, technologies and lifestyles between the developed countries and the developing Tropics to alleviate poverty and to conserve the natural environment.
- Empowerment of the youth by creating awareness of and ignition in agricultural production through modern production methods of food, feed, fuel and fiber in IFES.
